The first of our ant journals, this journal features commentary on The Hobbits, a Messor nondentatus colony we have had since December 2017. Purchased from British Ants, these harvester ants collect seeds to make ‘ant bread’, and also enjoy protein (roast chicken and boiled eggs are favourites!).
Starring: Queen Smeagoletta (the queen) and Wonky (a plucky worker with a damaged left front leg).
